Welcome to Portsmouth City Council’s (PCC) Alternative Provider Directory. The providers listed on this page have undergone a 2-stage quality assurance assessment process through PCC. This includes the completion of an application form and a thorough assessment tailored to each individual provider. For example, those providers who operate from an onsite venue will have been visited by PCC’s alternative provision commissioning team. Whereas those providers who deliver online alternative provision will have undertaken in-depth virtual meetings with PCC’s alternative provision commissioning team.

Please note, the providers listed on this page have undergone quality assurance assessments to support schools and local authority commissioning teams only to identify suitable provision for children and young people who require this additional support. However, it is the responsibility of the commissioner (e.g. the school or local authority team) to conduct their own due diligence regarding the provider before making a referral. For further information or guidance on this, please contact [email protected].
